Yes, there is a long list of mistakes that many soccer coaches not only make, but also they even overlook the same. These mistakes can do disaster and make your team a loser. That is the reason why I rated these mistakes as WORST. I am not going to give you a complete list now, but here goes the topmost disasters.
- Most of the coaches do not get all their tools and set up ready before the team arrives for the training. This really puts a very bad impact on the players’ psychology. The coaches fail to prepare everything needed, such as facility and equipments and set up, ahead of time.
When the players arrive, they start making the arrangements and they even do not hesitate to have the players assist them in doing in that. Always remember that the players do not come there to arrange, but they come to improve their soccer skills through the training session.
This does not only delay the training session, but sometimes, the sessions even run overtime. What could be worse than that for a player’s psychology?
- What is worse, sometimes the coaches even forget breaks. This is a torture for the players, mind you. This will result in useless exhaustion, and instead of earning strength and skills; you will end up having a team without any motivation.
- Another major mistake that a coach do is that they give unclear directions. They assume the players smart enough to understand even the unclear directions. Well, remember, the players are not here to crack the Vinci code. They are there to learn soccer skills so that they could improve their game. Therefore, make sure that your directions are brief but clear.
